I took my wife out for our anniversary dinner. I was looking for a place with a view but someplace that wouldn't be an outrageously over priced place. I read some reviews and decided to try Rivea at the Mandalay Bay. The restaurant is on the 64th floor of the old Delano hotel tower at the Mandalay. The food was very good but the service and staff was fantastic. When I made the reservation I placed the reservation with the champagne option since we were celebrating our anniversary. I let them know we were celebrating or anniversary so the gave a seat right by the window. The views from the restaurant are absolutely impressive. We were set up right away with bread sticks and our glass of champagne. The waiter came back and took our drink order. After a discussion about the drink menu the wife decided to try something different so we ordered it with the deal that if she didn't like it, I would take it and she would order something else. Well she loved her drink so I ordered one just like it. We ordered an appetizer that included jumbo shrimp and calamari and the served it with a basket of a variety of bread. The wife had Alaskan halibut with leaks. I had the 16 oz bone in ribeye cooked to perfection. After dinner and a discussion with the waiter about coffees we ordered two of their regular coffees. The waiter took it upon himself to bring us a dish of cookies and 2 iced coffees with 43 liqueur to try. Well that made our night. After dinner the waiter showed us around the restaurant and lounge area. He said any one can come up and enjoy the lounge around the bare but you can also reserve a couch by the window or a table on the outdoor deck. It's a pretty fantastic view of the city from up there. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I have the very best things to say about this experience. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and the view is breathtaking. Make sure to take the time to go out and see the view before or after you dine here. The entire experience, including the company I had with me was wonderful.

Great ambience and friendly staff! Scallops, truffle risotto, vegetable side and hazelnut dessert were delicious. Only the halibut was a bit tough and bland even with the sauce.

Loved everything about Rivea! The drinks were amazing, food was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the after dinner coffee was a MUST. Our server Chris was so attentive the entire evening; best service we have ever had. All around amazing dining experience.

We were staying at the Delano so my husband found this conveniently located spot on the top floor with a beautiful view (though you kind of see the south end of the strip; if you go next door to Skyfall, then you can look up the Strip itself). I didn't realize until we arrived that it was a restaurant of the celebrated Alain Ducasse! I was nervous about having our young children with us but the waiter was incredibly kind, welcoming, funny, and charming. The kids loved the breadsticks, and they were able to offer us sliders and buttered noodles in addition to the regular menu - perfect. It felt really seamless and we were never made to feel unwelcome (and fortunately the kids were fairly quiet). Service was attentive throughout the meal. The food was truly excellent. The carpaccio was very well seasoned. The ribeye was fantastic and had us talking about it for the rest of the trip. Scallops and halibut were also wonderful. My parents don't usually eat $$$ European food but they found the food approachable and delicious. The cocktails, which I believe are from a menu shared with Skyfall, were outstanding. We loved almost every one that we tried. Clever, refreshing, balanced. Really fantastic. Very grateful to have happened upon this place and that they were able to accommodate my family on short notice (we made the reservation same day). I feel like it deserves to be way busier (though we did go early on a Thursday). I hope we can come back soon!

We had a corporate diner for 12 people. I made the reservation a week prior. It's at the same level as Skyfall. 64th floor. If you enter by skyfall, it's the bar area, you can walk to the restaurant. To access it, you go the the elevator guests, you don't need a key. Service was excellent, the food was very good. Love the chocolate desert as well.

We brought the whole fam in tonight and everyone loved their meals, even the kiddos. Our one steak eater said his filet was as good as his wagyu skirt steak at a very good steakhouse, so that's high praise. The lobster risotto is lick the bowl good, but we resist. Both pizzas were great and big enough to have leftovers or share. Their soufflé is so good that I cnet help but burn my mouth every time because I can't wait to eat it! They have a really good tiramisu as well. Service is always far above par. The staff is so good at taking care of guests. Our server tonight immediately asked if he could get something started for the 5 year old, which is super helpful! He must have kids or is just a super thoughtful guy. The decor is so visually stimulating and pleasing. The view off the balcony is even better! Just go to Rivea; it's worth it!

First, let's not kid ourselves. This is fine dining at the top of Delano / Mandalay Bay. It's in a different tier of starting price. Once you get past that, the next question is do you get what you pay for? And for me, the answer was yes. Right out the gate you get some breadsticks along with an anchovy base spread as well as a small basket of bread. I suspect because my friends were MGM gold we also received each a tall glass of Prosecco, which was wonderfully crisp and smooth. Additional drinks we ordered from the full bar met expectations for a high-end establishment. Now onto the food, they claim French / Italian, perhaps riviera regions and boy did they succeed in their culinary style. The beef short ribs reminds me of beef bourguignon but even more tender and delicious reduction of jus they pour on. The scallops incredibly medium rare with an accompaniment of sweet corn and what appeared to be a creamy potato base. Lastly was the duck breast, a hint of smoke and cooked, medium rare as we requested. Probably the highlight of the night accompanied with sweet cherries. It's a subdued gem in every good way possible. Not too snoshy, with emphasis on a great view, solid service, and solid entrees. Lastly, I'll say the waiter made a point to ask whether we had another event afterwards or had time to enjoy the establishment. A very smart waiter I must say... we told him we didn't have any other events and he proceeded to stagger our family style preference and treated it like a tasting menu which we enjoyed. I suspect if we were needing to depart quickly, he would've requested the kitchen to prepare all three dishes in parallel. Boils down to communication with your server, but also hopefully landing a really good server. It would appear that they can handle a fairly large groups. I personally wouldn't want to come here with more than six people... only because as others have mentioned, there is likely a bias to maximize the bill because a large group usually takes more time to serve and stays longer. Can't blame an establishment for maximizing profit.
